DNA Doesn't Lie
How to Build Massive Momentum During Pre-Launch
Keep it Simple. Recruit Up. Do it Now.
During preview and pre-launch you want to approach and invite high-caliber, business-minded people. This is definitely not the time to invite the consumer to look at the business. We'll show you how to find, introduce and enroll people during this very exciting time.
Step 1 -- Create a List
Objective: Organize the names of people you know
You know between 10 and 40 people you can contact right away, and that's a great list. You also know between 5 and 20 people you are afraid to call, and that's a better list. Sometimes called your "chicken list" it's also your list of high-caliber business minded professionals.
Put both lists together and then take the next step.
Step 2 -- Quick Call
Objective: Establish a strong posture and create urgency and curiosity when you introduce people to the opportunity.
Here's a simple script that works. Use your own words and remember to keep the posture that you have something amazing.
"Hi, Sally. I'm calling for business but first I want to catch up. How are you?"
If they are not home you can leave the following on their voicemail:
"Do you have a pen? Write this number down, 712-432-9440. Listen to the message on that number and I'm going to send you an email. I'll call you back in a bit. It's about business."
** Another option is to use the more detailed phone system. This includes interviews with corporate executives and top affiliates.
641-715-3800 w/pin 58103#
The only rule: "Only say what someone else can say, five minutes after you say it."
If you mention Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms or genetic propensity or binary compensation, you're breaking the only rule.
Step 3 -- Send an Email
Once you've spoken or left a message send a quick email like this:
Subject: Our call
Hi ...
Here's the website I mentioned.
http://dnadoesntlie.com
Please look it over and call me back as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Me
Calling and connecting is a very important part of this process, but if you are absolutely terrified to talk to anyone you can send an email like this to get them to call you:
Subject: I need your help...
Hi ...
It's been a while. I hope things are going good for you.
I could use your help. I'm helping a 12 year old public bio-tech company launch a marketing division and they need a few key people. Do you know anyone who could help?
Here's an overview of who we are looking for: www.dnadoesntlie.com
If you or anyone you know would be interested, please let me know and I'll get you more information.
Thanks,
Me
It's much better to call first, but if you have too many people to reach or you're too busy, or you've gone through your initial 20 to 40 people and you want to reach more people on your list this email will do wonders. Use your own words and your own style, but don't say much more than what's in the email above.
Principals at Work
When you're talking with people there are three important principals that help you achieve better results:
Posture -- You posture is how you "stand" emotionally. Do you have a "begging" posture or a "picky" posture? You must know that you have an amazing opportunity and your are only looking for high-caliber people. You're not looking for just anyone. It's not important to you if they are interested, only that you were able to connect with them. Be strong, confident and picky. HIgh-caliber, business-minded people.
Curiosity -- in all your communication give the person a reason to re-connect with you when you are done. You never revealed your life story on a first date (I hope) and the same is true in business -- don't reveal everything on the first meeting. Curiosity creates interest.
Urgency -- Urgency creates excitement and destroys procrastination. There is not much time before preview and pre-launch is over. Soon massive numbers of people will have heard about GeneWize. Do you want them on your team? You must move quickly. Whomever has the most people at the next event will likely have the fastest growing organization and the biggest check. Will that be you? Go! Go! Go!
Step 4 -- Follow Up and Invite to an Event
Objective: Invite your guest to an event and let the event do all the work
It's said that, "the fortune is in the follow-up" and it's true. You don't make any money if you don't follow up and invite people to take action.
Once someone has listened to the recorded message and seen the website, your next task is to call them and invite them to an event to get more information. At the event they'll learn how to enroll, how to get trained and what to do next.
Here are the events to invite people to during pre-launch. Keep inviting your guest to another event until they either say, "no thank you" or "how do I get started?".
Conference Call -- you can hear other people who joined and learn more from top leaders:
Thursdays, 9pm ET (6pm PT)
(712) 432-1001 x422675018#
Leadership Call -- you can listen in on the inner circle call for leaders in the company"
Mondays, 9pm ET (6pm PT)
(712) 432-1001 x422675018#
Three-way Call -- you can set a time for your prospect to speak with you and someone else who is in the business. This can be your sponsor or anyone you've met who has offered to help. Before you make the call edify (build up) the people you are connecting. The other GeneWize affiliate should edify you, too. Talk about things in common and why you're excited about the business. You don't need to "sell", just ask if they want to join and promote the next event.
Local Events -- you can invite people to your house or hold an event in your town where people can talk about the opportunity and help each other build. This is a great way to build team spirit and cooperation while introducing people to the opportunity.
Company Events -- the company holds special fly-in events where you and your guests can meet the executives and the scientists, network with others, and get trained by the field leaders. This is by far the most powerful event you can build for and will create momentum in your business faster than anything else you do. During pre-launch this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The current events are:
GeneWize Launch Event
August 1-3, 2008
Disney Hilton, Orlando, FL
You can get more detail on the events here.
Events are the most important part of our business. They do all the right things. They give your guest information, introduce them to the team and show them how to enroll and get trained.
Each event also builds for the next event, which keeps the business going strong. The more events you go to and the more people you bring to events the more success you'll have.
Extra -- How to Give a Great Testimonial?
If you're on a conference call and someone asks you to give a testimonial, here's how to do it. There are 4 components to a great testimonial.
1. Hi my name is...
2. My background is...
3. What I like most about GeneWize is..
4. So far, my results have been...
For me it would be..
1. Hi my name is Tom Wood
2. I'm the CEO and founder of MasteryTV and I've built direct marketing organizations of over 250,000 people
3. What I like most about GeneWize is the opportunity to be in early and to create a team of people who believe in servant leadership and personal growth.
4. So far I've talked to 40 people about GeneWize and no one has said "it will never work", which is a new experience for me. The people who are saying yes to the opportunity are high-caliber entrepreneurs who understand the importance of timing. Back to you.
For you it would be...
The point of a testimonial is for people to be able to relate. It's not to inform, teach, pitch or sell. If you do it right the people listening will think, "She's just like me" or "I know someone just like him."
What's Next?
Make sure you get to the Corporate Events in Orlando if at all possible. This is the core of the business. You'll build a stronger belief in the company, discover new ways to build a massive organization and learn how to attract leaders to your business..
Pre-Launch gives you an opportunity to approach high-caliber entrepreneurs, networking professionals and business people unlike any other time. Make the most of it, because it will never happen again during the history of GeneWize!
Now is the time. Will you do your best or live like the rest?
Keep it Simple. Recruit Up. Do it Now.
